Kayla Crane, LMFT #0002485

I am passionate about helping my clients reach their goals. I love to help clients work through through anxiety, depression, PTSD, life transitions, communication difficulties, and infidelity.

I use different therapeutic approaches tailored to fit your needs and preferences. I utilize different modalities that might include EMDR, Relational Life Therapy (Terry Real), Solution Focused Therapy, CBT, and DBT to help you achieve your therapeutic goals.

I obtained both my Bachelor’s degree in psychology (2016) and Master’s degree in counseling (2018) at National University in La Jolla, California. I was born and raised in Southern California, but I now call Colorado my home. I live here with my husband, son and daughter. In my free time I love to paint, explore Colorado, and try new restaurants.

When something traumatic happens, it can get stored inproperly in our brains. When this happens, it results in triggers, flashbacks, nightmares, panic attacks, and an emotional response to the memory. With the use of EMDR, we are able to move this memory into where it should be in the brain, therefore reducing the traumatic symptoms associated with it. After effective EMDR treatment, the memory should no longer elicit an emotional response. It becomes a bad memory rather than a traumatic memory.
