We’re excited to share some big news at South Denver Therapy—Hope Saunders, MFTC, has officially joined our team! With Hope’s expertise and compassionate approach, we’re now expanding our services to include Child Counseling, Teen Counseling, and Family Therapy for clients in Castle Rock and across Colorado (via telehealth). Hope also works with adult individuals.

Hope brings a warm, supportive presence to therapy and specializes in helping children, adolescents, and families navigate challenges like anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, emotional regulation, school stress, grief, and life transitions. Whether your child is struggling with big feelings or your teen needs a safe place to talk, Hope creates an environment where young clients feel seen, respected, and empowered.

Here’s a quick look at the new services now available:

Child Counseling (Ages 4–12)

Hope uses developmentally appropriate techniques like play therapy, storytelling, and emotion-focused activities to help children express themselves, manage behavior, and build confidence. Parent support and coaching are also a key part of the process. Counseling for kids may address tantrums, separation anxiety, low self-esteem, difficulty with transitions, or social challenges. The goal is to help children feel more emotionally secure and better equipped to handle life's ups and downs.

Teen Counseling (Ages 13–18)

Teens today face intense pressure. Through a relational, nonjudgmental approach, Hope helps teens develop healthy coping skills, improve self-esteem, and work through anxiety, depression, academic stress, identity issues, and more. Sessions are teen-centered and focused on creating a safe space where adolescents can explore their thoughts and emotions without fear of judgment. Therapy for teens may include practical strategies for emotional regulation, communication skills, and problem-solving—so teens can feel empowered and understood both at home and in their social world.

Family Therapy

Whether your family is navigating a major transition, dealing with conflict, or just looking to improve communication, Hope offers family counseling that strengthens relationships and helps everyone feel heard and understood. Family therapy can be beneficial when there are ongoing arguments, disconnection, parenting struggles, or emotional distance between family members. Hope works collaboratively with all members of the family to foster greater empathy, resolve misunderstandings, and create a more peaceful, connected home environment.

Hope holds a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Addiction Recovery Studies and recently completed her Master’s in Human Development and Family Studies with a concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy. She is now accepting new clients for in-person or online sessions. You can learn more about Hope here.

We are thrilled to expand our offerings and support more families in Castle Rock and throughout Colorado.
