Carissa Keeter - LCSW

Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Hi, I’m Carissa Keeter, LCSW. I believe therapy is more than a process—it’s a partnership built on trust, compassion, and the belief that meaningful change is possible for everyone. My greatest joy as a therapist is helping clients reclaim their sense of self, build resilience, and take confident steps toward the life they’ve been longing for. My work is grounded in the belief that therapy should feel safe, collaborative, and deeply personal—never one-size-fits-all.

I specialize in working with trauma of all types—childhood, complex, military, and first responders. As a military spouse myself, I bring a personal understanding of the unique challenges faced by service members, veterans, and their families. This perspective allows me to create a supportive, grounded space for healing and growth during life’s most difficult transitions.

As an EMDRIA-trained EMDR therapist, I also incorporate other evidence-based modalities like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to tailor therapy to each person’s unique needs and strengths. Whether you’re processing trauma, navigating anxiety or depression, or adjusting to a new season of life, I’m here to support you with care and understanding.

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences from the University of Central Florida and my Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from Boise State University. Licensed in both Colorado and Florida, I’m honored to walk alongside individuals and families on their journey toward healing.

Outside of the therapy room, you’ll most likely find me spending time outdoors with my husband and our four children. Whether we’re hiking, exploring, or just soaking up the fresh air, I believe in cultivating balance and connection in my own life—principles that inspire my work with clients every day.
